Design Service
All our cakes are bespoke and made to order. You can either choose a design from our portfolio, or we can design something new. If you wish you can change colours and flowers to fit with your theme.
Consultations and Tastings
Consultations are by appointment only. You are very welcome to come and discuss your requirements and taste some cake. If you have any colour swatches, or other design information such as photos or magazine clippings, please do bring them with you.
Lead Times
We ask for 3-6 months notice when ordering wedding cakes and 1 month for other celebrations. However we can sometimes fit in further orders at short notice so please contact us.
Collection/Delivery
We offer a free delivery and set-up service for our wedding cakes and wedding cupcakes in central Bath and within a 10 mile radius. The service is available to venues further afield, please contact us for details. If you choose to have your cake delivered by us we will liase with your venue regarding timings.
Payment Terms
To confirm your order, a non-refunadable deposit of 30% is required. The balance is due 2 weeks before the delivery of your cake. We accept payment by cash, cheque, BACS transfer and credit/debit cards.
Cake Design Alterations
Design alterations can be made up to, but no later than one month before delivery or collection. If the alteration affects the cost then your balance will be adjusted accordingly.
Nut Allergy
Our cakes are baked in a kitchen that may contain traces of nuts. This means are cakes are not suitable for people with nut allergies.
Cakes with Fresh Flowers
If your cake design requires fresh flowers, your florist will supply these. We will liase directly with your florist regarding types and numbers of flowers needed. If you have chosen our delivery and set-up service we will decorate the cake with your flowers at your venue.
N.B. Some flowers are not suitable for use as cake decorations. Please ask your florist regarding toxicity. Lemon Sky Cakes cannot be held liable for any contamination to your cake.
Non-edible Materials
There may be some items on your cake that are non-edible such as wires in sugar flowers, broches, ribbons, diamantes and flower holders. It is your responsibility to make sure your caterers are made aware of this and that these items should be removed before serving. Lemon Sky Cakes accepts no responsibility from any physical harm that may arise from there use.
Stand Hire
We have a number of stands available for hire for our cakes and cupcakes. A deposit cheque of £75 is required. This is held in your file until the stand is returned. Stands must be returned within 14 days. We don't have silver stands, however most venues or private caterers will be able to supply you with one of these.
Cancellation Policy
In very exceptional circumstances Lemon Sky Cakes reserves the right to cancel your order. No charges will be made and all monies paid will be returned to you.
If you cancel your order for any reason up to 2 weeks before your event, the 30% deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel your order within 2 weeks of the event you shall receive a refund of 25% of the total cost.
